As we are seeking to be a church for the 21st Century, we are increasingly improving and developing our multi-media at Canterbury Baptist Church. If you have a gift in, or love for, all things technical then we would love you to be part of our Production Team. Basic training is offered to familiarise yourself with our equipment and team-work.
Worship Training
We are always on the look out for new musicians and worship leaders, and provide many opportunities to play and lead. Throughout the year, our musicians regularly meet to worship God, study God’s word, and discover more about what it means to worship. Our worship leaders also meet regularly to encourage one another and share any new songs that may be introduced in our gathered worship.
All our musicians and production team members are encouraged to attend Tim Hughes’ ‘Worship Central’ workshops in London, an excellent training resource. Worship Central provides opportunities to worship God, develop your understanding of what it means to worship, and offers excellent practical and theological workshops to equip the worshipper.
Canterbury Baptist Church have just initiated an exciting new venture with other creative Christians in Canterbury called ‘The Worship Lounge’. We aim for this to be a superb training resource for all churches interested in worship and the arts across Kent. Like ‘Worship Central’, this resource will provide an opportunity to worship God in unity and attend both practical and theological workshops.
