Music and the arts play a key role in our ministry and gathered worship, providing various opportunities to use and strengthen personal gifts.
If you are a musician, there are plenty of opportunities to play in various service and events, both ecumenical and evangelistic. (The Wow Factor). All musicians are encouraged to attend regular training and seek to discover more about what worship is all about. (Including 'The Worship Lounge')
Worship leaders are given various opportunities and support here, as audio and visual technicians are also welcomed to deliver our services and ministries with excellence.
We would love to widen our appreciation for the arts, including dance, drama, and fine art. So please do contact us for further information or involvement.

It is important to us at Canterbury Baptist Church that those gifted in the arts are given the opportunity to use and strengthen them, seeking to worship God in spirit and truth. The use of music and creative arts plays an extremely important and valuable part of our gathered worship, and so we provide a number of opportunities for those who want to use their gifting across the areas of music, drama, dance and art.

Equally important to us is the understanding of what it actually means to worship. The act of worship is often misunderstood and confused with simply making music, with church buildings or church services. Anyone who wishes to join the worship team at Canterbury Baptist Church will have the opportunity to gain a greater understanding of what it means to worship and make the heart of God glad daily.
