Baptism
An excellent online resource explaining (i) what baptism is, (ii) why it is necessary, and (iii) how baptism happens, can be found on the Baptist Union of Great Britain (BUGB) website.
Becoming a Member of Canterbury Baptist Church
Membership is an important act of belonging in a Baptist Church. Membership is open to all baptised believers in the Lord Jesus Christ who accept our statement of faith and vision for Canterbury Baptist Church.
There are both privileges and responsibilities attached to becoming a church member. These will be explained to you as part of the membership application process.
Student membership is available for those who are resident in Canterbury during academic term time. Please indicate on your application if you are applying for student membership. You will then be contacted by our Minister, Revd David Stedman, who will arrange for a convenient time to meet with you to discuss your application.
