Getting Involved & Training / More Info

There are opportunities for anyone wanting to join one of our teams to play in both morning and evening services. Those who are willing, will be invited to join the other musicians once a month as we together seek to discover and learn more about what ‘worship’ means. Please see the  Sunday Services section for more information on the style of worship to expect.

We are always seeking God’s heart and guidance for those He has called to worship leading. If this is something you believe God has called you to, then there are various opportunities for you to lead at Canterbury Baptist Church, and you will receive training and support as you seek to develop your gift for the glory of God.

In previous years, we have studied Matt Redman’s ‘The Unquenchable Worshipper’ and Greg Shepherd’s ‘After God’s Own Heart’, which are both excellent resources for those wanting to worship God in Spirit and truth. Our musicians are also encouraged to make the most of Tim Hughes’ excellent training resource, ‘Worship Central’.
