Several of our church members play golf (with varying degrees of competency!) and often meet informally to play several rounds.
Golf Days
In July 2007, a formal golf day was organised at Chestfield Golf Club. Ten teams of four competed in a stableford format. Our church members invited friends and work colleagues to host and form teams. Other teams from local clubs, companies and churches also joined in.
The golf day ended with some banter at the 19th hole, which included a meal, charity auction and prize-giving for the winners. The winning team was captained by one of our members, Dave King, and further included Ken Mackinnon, John Reynolds and James Putnam.
