Girls' & Boys' Brigades

The Boys' Brigade celebrated its 125th Anniversary in 2008. Each week, The Boys' Brigade works with over 60,000 children and young people in over 1500 groups across the UK and Republic of Ireland - many of whom have no other connection with the Church. The Girls' Brigade is of a similar magnitude and activity. Both Girls' and Boys' Brigades provides a balanced programme of activities for children and young people aged 5 to 18 years old.

Regular Activities

At Canterbury Baptist Church, we provide Girls' and Boys' Brigades activities for the following children age groups at the indicated times. Typical programmes of activities are also shown.

4-7 years	Fridays, 5.30-6.45pm	We enjoy making things, stories, music…..and plenty of games!
8-11 years	Fridays, 5.30-6.45pm	A typical programme may include lots of games, new skills, teamwork, competitions, art and craft, video stories, camps and sleepovers.
12-16 years	Friday, 7.00-9.00pm	A typical programme may cover sport, challenges, gym, first aid, drama, camps and sleepovers.
